Dr. Turner is Board Certified in General Pediatrics. She received her M.D. in 1986 from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, and completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, which included training at both the Children's Hospital and Denver Health Medical Center. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children's Hospital. In 1991, Dr. Turner returned to Denver. She spent 10 years as an attending physician at the Children's Hospital Emergency Department and Associate Professor for the University of Colorado, and then 3 years practicing general pediatrics at Mountainland Pediatrics in Thornton, prior to opening Aspen Park Pediatrics in 2004. Dr. Turner and her husband have 3 adult children and have been residents of the Conifer area since 1997.
Laurie Holland Nesslandis is a licensed professional counselor who specializes in reducing stress and anxiety.
She is licensed, trained, and certified in a wide range of stress reduction techniques, including NeuroEmotional Technique, HeartMath, Brainspotting, Yoga, Expressive Arts Therapy, Nutrition Education, and Cognitive Behavior Intervention for Trauma in Schools. She is the developer of the Feel Better Fast Technique™ and trains other therapists in this effective intervention. She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She has a vast array of stress tools that she shares with her clients so that they can better manage stress and anxiety in their daily lives.
Laurie has over 20 years experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting and has over nine years experience in private practice. Additionally, Laurie has volunteered with vulnerable children in
Kenya and Zambia, Africa a total of four times where she taught workshops to children, helping them to heal from trauma and grief. She also served on the board of directors for Temwani Children’s Foundation and helped to raise funds to build a school and to educate and feed children in Lusaka, Zambia.
Laurie has conducted thousands of treatment sessions to clients worldwide. Her clients often describe her as gentle, caring, compassionate, intuitive, and creative with a good sense of humor. She has a passion for helping kids thrive!
In Laurie's spare time she enjoys hiking, powerlifting, camping, yoga, nature & wildlife photography, and traveling.
Eva Wilkes graduated from Remington College in 2006 with her Medical Assistant Degree. Since then, she has worked in pediatrics and absolutely loves it. Eva resides in Golden, where she loves running with her dog, Ruby, on North Table Mountain. She also has 2 sons that keep her busy with snowboarding, camping and riding their dirt bikes.
Sammy Lefebvre graduated from Rocky Mountain High School in 2020 in Fort Collins, CO. While in High School she was on the varsity swim team. After High School, she obtained her Nationally Registered EMT and Colorado EMT-Iv Certification from Front Range Community College in 2022. She then worked at Ajax Sleep Away Camp as a certified EMT/counselor. She enjoys spending time with friends, all mountain activities, doing puzzles, and hanging out with her cat Taz.
